Zamia Encephalartoides is a Zamia that has the charachteristics of Encephalartos, among the cycads. It is a high desert grower from Columbia and should be treated like that. Zamias are usually tropical and perhaps much faster growing in general than this one. This is a SLOW growing cycad and is now about TEN YEARS OLD ----- from seed to boot. You see in the pix a larger one from our private collection that is about 15 years old ( not for sale ), so as you can see the offering today is well on its way to becoming a fantastic plant for the avid collector of very rare cycads.
