The XR1 Vacuum unit is designed to comply with EPA guidelines for pressure washers in most cities while being extremely compact and mobile so that it can be set up wherever needed,  usually best by a storm drain.  The water that is recovered is pumped out and discharged from the XR1 vacuum and can be directed to the sanitary sewer or a city permitted area.  The XR1 vacuum is superior to other waste water recovery vacuum systems which often require permanent mounting to a truck or trailer of a mobile pressure wash unit.  The XR1 is compact, much lighter, and extremely more mobile than most other machines which are typically big, bulky, heavy and cost substantially more.  In the real world of environmental pressure washing the set up of permanently mounted equipment is not cost effective, are not easily used at job sites (especially large ones), and are not efficient nor practical 99.9% of the time!   When you use the XR1 you DO NOT have to try and park your wash rig by a storm drain so that the suction hose of a permanently mounted vacuum can reach the storm drain area and then you hope that your pressure wash hose is long enough to reach all of your work area.   All experienced professionals know that most places that you power wash slope in more than one direction and have more than one storm drain.  Inevitably (with inconvenient permanently mounted equipment) as you power wash the water stops flowing to the storm drain that you are set up at and starts flowing to a different storm drain and then you would have to move your whole rig and set up as much as 1,2,3 or 4 (or more) times per job in some cases.  That takes way too long.  I know,  I have done it both ways.  It is much faster and easier to move the XR1 Vacuum than your whole pressure wash rig.  Now with the XR1 Vacuum you can park your wash rig wherever you want and not have to move it until the job is finished.  This saves time so that you can move on to the next job.
