Description
Hibiscus syriacus, known as "Rose of Sharon," "Althea," and "Hardy Hibiscus." SUMMER SALE! This is a large lot of 100 seedlings, perfect for planting a BEAUTIFUL privacy screen on your property. These are super-healthy, bushy, fast growing seedlings, shipped in real soil. You won't find better plants at this price anywhere! They will grow like crazy the rest of summer and into fall, and will be fully established in your yard next spring when they break dormancy. Do you have nosy or noisy neighbors, or just need more privacy in your yard? This lot of 100 plants will allow for at least 200 feet of privacy screen, for a fraction of the price of buying nursery plants or building a fence! (For this price, you could probably get 5 plants at a nursery, or 5 feet of fence installed!) Don't wait to plant any longer! If planted this summer or fall, these plants will be 2-3 feet tall by next summer, and 3-6 feet tall the summer after. In just 2 summers, your 200' privacy screen will be ready for under $60! Rose of Sharon is a beautiful hardy shrub that flowers summer through fall. When most flowing plants are done for the year, Rose of Sharon is just getting started! The first flowers usually open in July, and they can keep blooming through October - you will get hundreds of flowers on a single adult plant! They are drought tolerant and cold-hardy, and will thrive in zones 4-10. If left to grow unpruned for many years, they can get as large as 12-15ft, but can also be pruned to keep any size. I have several in my yard pruned down to 18-36" high - they are very bushy and full of flowers even at this small size. Rose of Sharon makes a great long-lasting cut flower. Rose of Sharon Flower Rose of Sharon is a tough plant and does not mind summer transplanting - just keep the soil moist for a week or two until they send out new roots. If you plant seeds now, or plant larger store-bought transplants, they will often die back due to winter stress. Starting with these 1-2 year old seedlings saves money and time! Rose of Sharon Flower Your bid is for 100 healthy LIVE plants. Sizes will vary from a few inches high to over 6" high, but they are all a minimum of 1-2 full years old and have already hardened-up over winter. I cut most of the 1-year old plants back to a few inches high this spring - this is good for them and will encourage faster, bushier growth and earlier flowering. These are ready to plant now, and will be actively growing when you receive them. All seedlings will be packed with real soil to keep the roots fresh during shipping. Don't overpay for larger, more expensive store-bought plants that will take longer to get established in your yard. My seedlings will grow quickly and offer the best overall value. Because they are pollinated by bees and the wind, Rose of Sharon seeds and seedlings are always a mix of colors (no matter what other sellers might claim!) Most of the seedlings plants will be a purple or pink as pictured, with some pure white and dark blue as well. Shipping is FREE via USPS Priority mail, and I ship quickly several times per week. I am happy to answer any questions you might have - please contact me if you need more info on one of my items!
