As well as it’s small size, it was selected for the wonderful upright dense character and year round red tones. Just a super red for those small landscapes or containers that the usual larger purple /red cultivars would soon dominate. Seems to be much more tolerant and forgiving than some of the other dwarf reds. Mine seems to have plateued at about 4’ and is in the landscape. It enjoys a sunny spot at the edge of a bed of Hosta, Fern and other perennials.The colors change from burgundy to green with red tones in summer and as photos show it becomes pie cherry red in fall. Item for auction is a branched 1year old graft of this cultivar 20" tall. Will need immediate planting with provided instructions. Can tag and hold during extreme weather conditions.
