Description
COLLECTORS! Acer Palmatum “Fjellheim” is rather an oddity in the world of Japanese Maples. It is a Witches Broom grown for it’s amazing winter bark color. Originating on the venerable Sango Kaku on a tree in Australia it performs even better than its parent and actually appears to have some pink in the glowing red bark. This gives it an extra intensity or almost a “day glow” tone. Not getting large it can be vigorous at first. The leaves are small and their internodes are closely spaced presenting a somewhat feathery look. The leaves acquire the same famous golden orange hue in the fall as its parent. Likes sun. Makes a wonderful deck or rock garden denizen. It is quite a memorable winter specimen. Very upright and perhaps 4-5’ in old age. It adds lovely color while those fern and hosta are slumbering in the ground. Not grafted for bonsai use. Item for auction is a branched 1yr old graft of this cultivar 24" tall. Will need immediate planting with provided instructions. Can tag and hold during extreme weather conditions. Many more rare varieties of Japanese Maples coming so please keep an eye on my listings. For all purchases please pay listed shipping amount. We do refund any extra shipping paid (if refund is more than $1.50) within 7 days of shipping. We do not know the shipping weight ahead of time. This lets all buyers pay shipping at or near cost. Multiple purchases ship together. Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.
