July is still a great time to plant and it makes a good family project! We are offering to you 5 bare root plants of Buxus Green Velvet a very hardy evergreen shrub that was developed in Canada, they are hardy to Zone:4 and have proven to be a relatively carefree plant in the landscape. It can be used as a foundation plant or planted in various patterns to create a more formal look, it’s uses are only limited by your imagination. It will grow to about 3' tall and wide if left unattended with deep green medium-sized foliage, it can however be easily maintained at any desired size. Boxwood are very drought tolerant once established and need very little in the way of fertilizer and they are also fairly pest free. The picture shown represents the size and quality of the plants you will receive these plants are about 6" tall and 4" wide. Why bare root?, there are a number of reasons not the least of which is the cost in savings to you in shipping as well as containers and soil. Also, all the roots come with a bare root plant and that is what makes the plant grow. Also there are no plastic pots to dispose of. Over the years we have shipped over a thousand bare root boxwood to gardeners who have had great success with them.
