The "Bloodgood" Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood') is one of the most stunning of all the Japanese Maple trees. The leaves emerge in spring as a deep deep crimson and remain so all year long. Japanese Maples are easy to grow and usually grow about 12 or more inches per year. They have a bushy habit and require little or no pruning to keep them in shape. They do well in Zone 5-8 with very little or no winter damage. Your tree will be approximately 1-2 feet tall with nice roots and will be ready to plant. They have just recently gone into dormancy and will be shipped with moist packing on the roots for better transplant.
