Lofted Log Home, Hunting Cabin, Shop, or Garage. These Northern White Pine logs will be rough-sawn on three sides and hand-peeled the old fashioned way, using draw knives and muscle on the outside leaving the knots, character, and the natural surface of the log.  On the inside you will have a flat wall with occasional wane (natural wavy edges).  The logs are then stacked to air-dry for about 8 weeks.  Just prior to shipment, we will peel the logs again to give them a very fresh, clean, peeled surface.  We call this our double-peeled method.  These logs are cut to order, so please order early if you want them to be dry when you build.  The logs can be a custom order and can be adjusted according to your desired plan.  These logs would make a great home, cabin getaway, shop, garage, or barn.  The average wall thickness would be from 9" to 10", so it would be very easy to heat in the winter and cool in the summer. Other Options 1.  You may receive your shipment once the logs have been peeled the first time, and save an additional 8% of the initial cost.   The bundles would be spaced for drying and shipped to your building site.  2.  If you would like your logs kiln dried, whether it be after the first or before the second peeling, please plan to add an additional 35%.     This log package includes the following wall logs and gable siding: 1,584 lineal feet (1,056 sq.ft.) of 8” stack ht.
