It is deer-resistant, fast growing, aromatic, and is used for wind breaks, Christmas trees, or as a distinctive specimen. Its growth habits are similar to Leylands.  Once established, expect about 3 feet of growth per year. They do great in the South, but have a farther reach North than Leylands.   They tend to bronze a bit in the winter, but green back beautifully in the Spring. Hardy in Zones 5 - 8.
