Very easy to fit by any competent DIY person.   There are lots of other applications these Immersion heater's could be used for, especially where there is no electric mains power available and you need hot water.    What these very compact heating units are actually designed to do, is continually heat up the water in your hot water cylinder / tank 24 hours a day wind or light permitting with free energy So when you’re normal main heating system kicks in  it will reach its water heating preset temperature much faster.   This will give you considerable saving's £££ €€€ $$$ off your gas, electricity solid fuel or oil heating bill's. The immersion is then supplied from the battery system through a regulator at 24 Volts DC. The length of the heating elemments that protrudes into the water is 6,1/2" inches. The body of the immersion heater is 4 " inches long which includes the terminal posts.
